Annual Strong Kids Campaign
The Annual Campaign enables us to fully realize our mission "to put Judeo-Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all." The words "for all" are very important to us. The Y recognizes the importance of financial assistance for those in need and making sure that we turn no one away for inability to pay.
Financial Assistance keeps the Y available for kids and families who need us most. We count on the generosity of our members and community to help people of all ages and from all walks of life be more healthy, confident, connected and secure.
When you give to the Y, your gift will have a meaningful, enduring impact right in your own neighborhood.
You can help…
- Provide quality child care for parents who must work to meet basic needs.
- Enroll a teen in a program so they have a safe place to spend their after-school hours
- Provide physical therapeutic activities to a senior who would otherwise be housebound.
- Send a child to camp for kayaking, sports, swimming and making friends.
And much more!
Your gift could change a life forever! Here's how you can make a difference:
- $25,000 - Adopt A School - Provide a safe, enriching enviroment for 18 at-risk kids during the school year.
- $10,000 - Adopt a Summer Camp - Help 11 low-income children stay academically on track during the summer.

Capital Campaign
Building Our Home
Capital campaigns often offer exciting opportunities to become further involved in the life of the YMCA.
The Y has had a presence in the South Dade community since the early 1980s and has become an extended family and community gathering place. We are committed to serving the needs of the community, which is why we need to grow.
The Y is, and always will be, dedicated to building healthy, confident, connected and secure children, adults, families and communities. Now is our opportunity to come together and show that we believe in our South Dade YMCA Family Center, and are committed to serving more people in our community.
Help us double our impact by making a donation, volunteering for our Capital Campaign, promoting your business or creating a family legacy by having your name as a part of the new South Dade YMCA Family Center.

Endowment and Planned Giving
Many friends of the YMCA are helping to extend its influence beyond their own lifetimes with gifts of assets they have accumulated. Such gifts can be directed to support the overall work of the YMCA or can be designated to support a specific YMCA branch or program.
We invite you to join the YMCA of Greater Miami's Heritage Club.
The Heritage Club
The YMCA of Greater Miami’s endowment fund provides financial stability to our YMCA, enabling us to plan today for tomorrow's possibilities and challenges, preserving the YMCA of Greater Miami for future generations. Through the Heritage Club, we are able to recognize the people who make this endowment possible. Considerable tax benefits may be available to you and your heirs, whether your gift is monetary, a bequest or an estate gift. We strongly recommend you consult with your financial advisor. We will be happy to meet with you and your family members, financial planner, attorney or other key people in your planning process to discuss the possibilities and how your gift may provide the greatest benefit to you and your heirs. These gifts include bequests, charitable trusts, annuities, real estate, or life insurance.
The Financial Development Office of the YMCA of Greater Miami welcomes the opportunity to discuss with you and/or your advisors the possibility of making a gift. For more information, contact Pat Morris, Chief Development Officer at 305-357-4000, ext. 1118 or email
